Course Description

Lecture, three hours. Limited to Master of Financial Engineering Program students. Introduction to building and implementation of credit models for use by financial institutions and quantitative investors. Basics of corporate debt securities and in-depth introduction to credit derivatives markets. Discussion of structured credit products such as both cash and synthetic collateralized debt obligations (CDOs). S/U or letter grading.
