Seminar, three hours. Some sections may require prior coursework. Departmentally sponsored experimental or temporary courses, such as those taught by visiting faculty members. May be repeated for credit. P/NP or letter grading.
Study uses lecture and lab for students to engage in contemporary social issues in project-based learning environment. Students learn to use techniques and latest arts-based technologies of UCLA@SPARC Digital/Mural Lab to develop public art mural proposal for on- or off-campus site. All levels of experience with visual arts encouraged to participate. Individual student research interests tie into study themes. Students have multiple opportunities to apply their skills in new ways.
