Evolution of Israel's foreign relations and its position in international system, from pre-state Zionist diplomacy to present. Includes multiple shifts in Israel's acceptance in community of nations. Exploration of realignments and reversals that have characterized Israel's foreign relations, making them more variable than those of any other democracy that has never known revolution or coup d'état. Observations from three angles: political, economic, and military/geostrategic.
